> Ease The Paw is a South African pet end-of-life coordination service and pet-care community. When a family's pet is dying, we arrange the mobile veterinarian, the cremation and the keepsakes so the family can be present instead of making phone calls. We also run a private, positive community app for pet owners with health tracking and breed-aware care reminders.

## What Ease The Paw is and is not

- Ease The Paw is a **coordination service**, not a veterinary practice. It does not employ veterinarians and provides no clinical care or clinical advice.
- All euthanasia and clinical work is performed by independent veterinarians registered with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC), who set their own fees and are paid directly by the family.
- Ease The Paw arranges the vet, the cremation, the transport, the paperwork, the keepsakes and the follow-up.

## Services and pricing (South African Rand)

- **Coordination fee: flat R950**, paid to Ease The Paw at booking. Covers finding and booking a vet, cremation coordination, the keepsake memorial (a fur keepsake keyring presented in a branded keepsake envelope, given to the family on the day), and support before, during and after. Refunded in full if no vet can be arranged in the family's area.
- **The veterinarian's own fee** is paid directly to the vet at their normal rate. Ease The Paw does not mark it up.
- **Cremation** is billed separately at the crematorium's rate. Ease The Paw takes no commission from crematoria.
- **Optional premium framed paw-print canvas: R1,950**, capture arranged with the vet, delivered about a week after the goodbye.
- **Giving back:** 10% of every coordination fee is paid to the attending veterinary practice and 10% is donated to the SPCA.
- **Community membership: R50 per month**, cancel anytime. Works anywhere in the world. Every member is automatically entered into Pet of the Month: a monthly R1,000 pet package tailored to the winning pet, delivered to their door.
- Typical all-in cost for a South African family: roughly **R3,200 to R7,200**, depending on the pet's weight, whether the euthanasia is at home or at a clinic, and the aftercare chosen.

## Coverage

Coordination is live across Gauteng (Johannesburg, Pretoria, Centurion, Sandton, Randburg, Roodepoort, Midrand, Soweto, Ekurhuleni/East Rand, Benoni, Boksburg, Kempton Park, Germiston, Alberton), Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Durban and Umhlanga. Other South African areas are served on a per-case basis or are community-only while the partner vet network is built. The community app, health tracking and Comfort Companion work anywhere in the world.

## For veterinarians

Ease The Paw refers end-of-life cases to independent mobile and clinic vets in South Africa. There is no subscription, no listing fee, no exclusivity and no contract. The vet sets and keeps 100% of their own clinical fees, and additionally receives 10% of the coordination fee (R95 per completed case), paid monthly by EFT; a further 10% of every fee is donated to the SPCA.
