What we handle in Soweto

On the day, you should be with your pet — not on the phone. We take over the arrangements so you do not have to become an organiser in the middle of the worst hour of your year.

• Finding and booking the vet — at home where that is possible in Soweto, or at a clinic if that suits your pet better.
• Sedation first, as standard. We specify it with our partnered vets so nobody has to negotiate for a gentle death while grieving.
• Cremation. Communal, or individual with the ashes returned to you. We confirm which one you have chosen, in writing.
• Transport and paperwork between the vet and the crematorium.
• Keepsakes — paw prints and fur clippings, arranged before the day rather than remembered afterwards.
• Following up when the ashes are ready.

What it costs

Our coordination fee is a flat R950 — 10% of it goes to the partnered vet and 10% is donated to the SPCA. The vet’s own fee and the cremation are paid separately at their own rates — we do not mark them up, and we take nothing from the crematorium, so we have no reason to push you toward a more expensive option.

Typical Gauteng ranges, for orientation rather than as a quote:

• Euthanasia at a clinic: R450 – R1,500
• Euthanasia at home: R1,200 – R3,500
• Communal cremation: R400 – R900
• Individual cremation, ashes returned: R1,200 – R3,500 depending on weight

Most families in Soweto land somewhere between R3,200 and R7,200 all in. We will give you a written total before the day, every time.

Before it is time

Most people meet us on the hardest day. It is better to meet us before it.

Our community is R50 a month and it is built for the part that comes first — a private, likes-only feed to celebrate your pet, and bio-marker tracking that watches weight, resting breathing rate, food and water for the trends that turn up before an animal looks unwell. Plus daily reminders to feed, water, walk, play and medicate, and a Comfort Companion that is there at three in the morning.

If today is the day

If your pet is in distress right now, phone your own vet or your nearest 24-hour emergency hospital first. That comes before us, always. Once they are comfortable and you know what you are facing, message us and we will take the arrangements off your hands.
