Dog cremation is priced by size. As a guide for an individual cremation with the ashes returned: small dogs R1,100–R2,000, medium dogs R1,800–R3,000, and large to giant breeds R2,400–R5,500. Communal cremation runs R400–R2,200 across the same sizes.

For the biggest breeds, collection genuinely needs two people, so mention your dog’s weight upfront to avoid a re-quote.

The extras that move the total

Collection from home adds R250–R600, more after hours and on weekends. The urn can be included or an add-on. A vet arranging it may add a handling fee. Always ask for the total in writing — collection, cremation and ashes home — before agreeing.

Giant-breed families sometimes find home euthanasia plus home collection is far kinder than trying to move a large dog who can no longer stand.
