Pet Cremation in Durban and KwaZulu-Natal

Time matters more in KZN

Durban's heat and humidity mean you have meaningfully less time than in a Gauteng winter. If your pet has died at home, aim for collection the same day. Keep them in the coolest room, out of any direct sun, wrapped in a blanket with a towel underneath. Do not plan to wait until the next morning in a Durban summer.

KZN cremation costs

Individual cremation with ashes returned typically runs R1,100–R1,900 for a cat or small dog, R1,700–R2,900 for a medium dog and R2,300–R4,800 for large breeds. Communal runs R400–R1,900. Collection across Durban, Umhlanga, Ballito, Pinetown and the South Coast usually adds R250–R700.

Outside the metro

If you are in Richards Bay, Newcastle, Pietermaritzburg or on the coast away from Durban, collection may take longer and cost more. Phone early rather than late, and ask honestly how long the drive is — it changes both the price and how quickly they can reach you.

One message

Ease The Paw coordinates collection, individual cremation and the return of the ashes across KwaZulu-Natal, with a fur keepsake keyring included.

If the day is coming

Ease The Paw coordinates in-home pet euthanasia across South Africa — we find and book the vet, arrange the cremation and handle the keepsakes, so you can simply be present. A flat R950 covers the coordination and your keepsake memorial; the vet and cremation are billed separately at their own rates.
