Cremation costs

At 3–7kg these are the cheapest cremation bracket in South Africa: roughly R1,100–R2,000 for individual cremation with ashes returned, R400–R900 communal, plus R250–R500 home collection. Note that collection can cost nearly as much as the cremation itself for a very small dog.

Coat volume is misleading

A fluffy 4kg dog returns a small amount of ash — often a cup or less — because ash volume tracks bone, not fur. Owners frequently worry the amount looks too small for the dog they remember. It is normal, and it is the same for every crematorium.
